Publish in Open Acces

Open access dissemination involves the immediate, free and permanent availability of scientific publications. There are two ways to provide open access:

  • Depositing your publication in an open repository for scientific publications (recommended).
Under the Ley de la Ciencia, la Tecnología y la Innovación 17/2022, Research staff whose research activity is mainly financed with public funds must deposit a copy of the version of record* and the associated data in institutional or thematic open access repository, simultaneously with the date of publication.
*The version of record (final published version, publisher's PDF): the article with the final layout of the editor as published in the journal.

You can consult the Spanish available repositories at https://recolecta.fecyt.es/ .

  • Publishing in an open access journal.
Through the Directory of Open Access Journals it is possible to find out which journals publish have an associated cost of publication (APC) and wich do not.
