The main interest of my research is the relationship between human and faunal comunitties at south-central Andes (South America), using a methodological approach that includes zooarchaeology, taphonomy, bone technology, use-wear analysis and experimental archaeology. My Ph.D. research was focused on a taphonomical approach to ceremonial faunal remains at the early formative site of Tulan-54 in northern Chile. Currently, I’m full time Professor at the Universidad Alberto Hurtado (Chile) and Affiliated Researcher at the Institut Català de Paleoecología I Evolució Social (Catalunya).
