Collections Service
The Collections Service aims to correctly preserve the archaeological and paleontological materials temporarily stored at the centre until they return to the institution to which they belong.
The collections stored at the IPHES mainly come from excavations managed by the Institute, but the service also manages experimental lithic collections generated by researchers and technicians from the Institute and permanently stored by the Collections Service.
This service has 240 m2 for the storage of fossil materials and it is equipped with all the tools needed to safely handle and consult the materials.
The center also has a reference collection that is managed separately.
